Welcome to The Weardale CSA

Weardale Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an exciting opportunity for local people to get more involved in the production of naturally grown, local fruit and vegetables.

Next Volunteer Day: Thursday evenings, 6.30-8pm @ Frosterley

We will be launching an assault on the thistles - bring any power tools you have please?!

Theres quite alot of weeding to be done - bring sturdy gloves and a fork if you have them!

Would you like to get involved? Come along and join us. There is something for everyone. We need volunteers to help nurture seedlings on their windowsills, water plants, assist with DIY,  and generally help wielding spades! 2 hours every Thursday evening or every other Saturday would really help us.

Naturally grown to the local community

CSA is a model that builds on co-operation and mutual support so that the risks and rewards of producing food are shared between consumers and producers. The consumers (Members) commit themselves to supporting the farm or garden and to providing a fair income for the producers. All produce is then shared weekly amongst the Members (a 'share of the harvest') with any surpluses sold locally.
